COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Within Colbond Geosynthetics is the
business unit concerned with the applications of polymer products and
composites for civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, drainage, erosion
control and landfills. Since the fifties if offers in all these fields
specialized techniques and materials, such as three-dimensional mats for
erosion control, geocomposites for drainage matting and polyester reinforcing
fabrics and geogrids for soil reinforcement.
PRODUCTS:
Enkadrain®:
A geocomposite made of three dimensional core bonded to one or two nonwovens as
filter layers.
Application:
Horizontal or vertical drainage layers.
Road edge drainage.
Drainage layers of landfill caps.
Gas collection and leakage control layers in landfills.
Enkamat®:
A polymer three dimensional erosion control matting.
Application:
Erosion control in civil engineering and landscaping, when traditional
solutions are unsuccessful.
Armater®:
Honeycomb-type geocomposite.
Application:
Stabilization and confinement of a top layer of soil on sterile or slippery
surface.
Fortrac®:
Polyester geogrid.
Application:
Slope reinforcement and bearing capacity improvement of roads.
Colbonddrain®:
Vertical strip drain.
Application:
Acceleration of consolidation of cohesive soils under vertical loads.
