COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Huesker is a manufacturer of
Fortrac® high tenacity polyester (PET) geogrids and Comtrac® high
strength polyester geotextiles.
Fortrac® high tenacity
polyester (PET) geogrids:
Fortrac geogrids are
comprised of high tenacity polyester yarns woven or knitted into a grid pattern
creating a flexible reinforcement for soil structures. A polymeric coating is
applied to the geogrid to stabilize the yarn configuration and to provide
protection from potential installation and exposure damage. Fortrac geogrids
consists of polyester yarns that have a moleculare weight greater than 25,000
g/mol and a Carboxyl End Group of less than 25 meq/kg.
Fortrac geogrids are used to
reinforce retaining walls, slopes and embankments, synthetic and natural
landfill lining systems, along with railroad and roadway base materials.
Fortrac geogrids have wide width tensile strengths ranging from 15KN/m to 500
KN/m and are produced with finished roll widths of 3.7 and 5 meters.
Comtrac® high strength
geotextiles:
Comtrac geotextiles are high
strength woven polyester reinforcement products used in the construction of
embankments over soft soils. Comtrac geotextiles provide tensile reinforcement
of soil structures in addition to separation of dissimilar materials. Tensile
strengths of Comtrac geotextiles range from 90 KN/m to 800 KN/m with standard
roll widths of 5 meters. Comtrac geotextiles can be interwoven with a select
nonwoven geotextile to provide high strength and separation for use with
extremely fine grained saturated soils.
